Marley Dias is an 11-year-old girl who loves to read. She felt frustrated, though, because it was hard to find books with girls who are black as the main characters. So, she decided to work hard to find 1000 books that have black girls as the main characters and give all of the books to a school library. So many people were proud of her hard work, that they sent her books and money for books from all over the country and she even got to be on the news. She is determined. Marley saw a problem, she thought of a way to fix the problem, and she got to work!
